BIO
I was born and raised in Reno, NV. I moved to Anchorage, AK to attend the University of Alaska (UAA), where I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Languages (Spanish), and a year-long internship with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. During this time, I also competed on the UAA varsity gymnastics team. I moved to Maryland in August, 2018 to pursue a Master's of Science in Marine, Estuarine and Environmental Science at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, Horn Point Laboratory. My current research is on the nutrient dynamics and associated water quality parameters that shape phytoplankton community composition offshore of Maryland's Assateague Island National Seashore.
